"Ted" Figus practices primarily in the areas of corporate, commercial and real estate law. He has served as both inside and outside legal counsel for various local, national and international organizations. In these roles, Mr. Figus has served the legal needs of both large and small business organizations. Mr. Figus received the degree of Juris Doctor (with honors, ranking fifth in a class of 263) from the University of Illinois. He served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review and, upon graduation from law school, was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Figus holds a B.S. degree (also with honors) in General Engineering (mechanical and civil engineering focus) from the University of Illinois. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Figus received an appointment and served as judicial clerk to Associate Justice C. Donald Peterson of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Mr. Figus is admitted to practice law in Minnesota State Courts, the United States District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. In addition, Mr. Figus provides arbitration and mediation services as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. Mr. Figus has been associated with the law firms of Briggs and Morgan and Tennessen & Regan. Mr. Figus has held several legal counsel positions with major business organizations. Among these were senior legal positions with Litton Industries including a major consumer and commercial products operation and domestic and international medical devices manufacturing and distribution operations.
